Description:
The MegaPara is a 3-band parametric EQ pedal for electric, acoustic and bass guitar.
This new version is built with 7 years of feedback from musicians and producers around the world.
The MegaPara is designed to be as useful, flexible and reliable as possible in any live or studio situation. Switch between peak or shelf modes on the high and low band, attenuate hot inputs or boost quiet ones for recovery gain, and fine-tune your adjustments with precision.
The MegaPara was originally based on professional rack technology from the 1980s, but is now much more refined (and uses more modern components) than many of those units.
Features:
•3 bands ranging from 25Hz to 16KHz, to suit bass, electric or acoustic guitar.
•Switchable Peak/Shelf modes on High and Low bands (+/-15dB gain in both modes).
•Pad or boost the input by 10dB.
•True Bypass.
Specifications:
•Operating Voltage: 9-18V DC mains adaptor or 9V PP3 Battery (not included)
•Current Draw: ~30mA
•Input/Output Impedance: 1 Megaohm/100 ohm
•Frequency Ranges: 25-400Hz, 150-2,500Hz, 1-16KHz
•Headroom: 16dBu @ 18V (around 30dBu if "Input Gain" set to -10dB)
•Noise: <-120dBu
•Dimensions: ~11x8x6cm

This pedal does not use a voltage doubler, because unbeknownst to a surprising number of manufacturers, voltage doublers contain oscillators which mean they are illegal to include in products in some jurisdictions without pricy FCC certification. Additionally, such circuitry can be prone to inducing high-frequency noise and distortion. This pedal does contain circuitry to ensure that your 9 or 18V power supply is rock-solid and well-filtered, and headroom is maximised at both 9 and 18V.
All pedals by Sine Effect Electronics are designed and built in Glasgow, Scotland. As these products are made completely by hand, there may be some slight visual imperfections that you wouldn't get from factory robots. Every effort is made to ensure that the pedals look cool and sound good, though!

My ethos has always been to create effective, intuitive, reliable and fairly-priced pedals. A good piece of music equipment will allow you to achieve the sounds you hear in your mind without confusion or frustration. EQ pedals are my forte, which are designed using both my own experience as a musician, and input from hundreds of artists who have been kind enough to try Sine Effect pedals over the years.
