Are your pedals analogue?
Currently, ALL pedals designed and sold by Sine Effect Electronics are fully-analogue.
Are your pedals True Bypass?
Yes! All Sine Effect pedals are true bypass.
Does this pedal accept line-level signals?
Using an 18V DC supply, all Sine Effect pedals will accept most line-level signals, though some slight attenuation from the source may be required. Pedals with an "INPUT GAIN" switch will allow an extra 10dB of headroom in this scenario (if set to the -10dB position).
Can I use this pedal with pedals other than guitar or bass, or a contact mic?
Generally, yes. Sine Effect EQ pedals have been used successfully in a number of unorthodox situations, such as electric violin, cello, keyboards and ngoni.
Contact/piezo mics have superior function with an imput impedance several times higher than the 1 mega-ohm input impedance of most guitar pedals, though are often still perfectly usable (with some possible mild treble loss). One suggestion is to place a piezo pre-amp before a typical guitar pedal. In some cases, pedals may be modified to suit higher input impedances. Please get in touch if you'd like to discuss this.
What power supply can I use with my pedal?
MOST, but NOT ALL power supplies designed for general pedal use can be used with Sine Effect pedals. Power supplies MUST have centre-negative polarity, supply between 9-18V DC, have a standard 2.1mm barrel connector, should provide at least 100mA of current and be regulated. As of 2023, some examples are as follows:
*SINE EFFECT ELECTRONICS HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE MANUFACTURERS, AND THESE ARE MERELY SUGGESTIONS.
Do you ship to my country?
Pedals will ship to most locations covered by Royal Mail. Please see here.
I live in the EU. How can I place an order?
For EU orders, please use my store on Etsy or eBay instead, because of Stupid Brexit.
Why does shipping cost so much?
Shipping is carried out via. Royal Mail and your country's postal service, and is always tracked. This vastly reduces the risk of your pedal disappearing or being damaged in transit. I do not trust discounted services, or believe in inflating the cost of pedals and offering "free" shipping, as this effectively means a flat rate which means you may end up paying too much (ie. part of someone else's shipping!).
Will I have to pay customs duty if outside the UK?
Usually, yes. However, there are some exceptions. When importing under $800 USD worth of items into the USA, you should not pay any customs duty, if you are buying as an individual (ie. not a business). Other countries, such as Australia, are also subject to free trade agreements with the UK. If you are concerned, please check with your government's trade department in advance.
My ethos has always been to create effective, intuitive, reliable and fairly-priced pedals. A good piece of music equipment will allow you to achieve the sounds you hear in your mind without confusion or frustration.
Sine Effect pedals are designed using both my own experience as a musician and input from hundreds of artists who have been kind enough to try Sine Effect pedals over the years.
You'll find the best prices here at SineEffect.com, though my pedals can also be purchased from Reverb, eBay and Etsy.
Received the item today, securely packed. It's a thing of beauty, both aesthetically and sonically, and built to outlast me. Stellar customer service. Kudos, Grant!
Incredible little pedal! I bought this to use live with bass/double bass. It makes the amp sound so much clearer and gets rid of any boomy mud. Super fast delivery!
First of all, thanks for the super fast delivery and secondly I'm blown away by what an amazing quality pedal this is.
